Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed maturity beyond his years with a match-winning half-century in Delhi. Chasing a 188 to win, the 14-year-old stitched two vital partnerships with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson to see his team over the line. After the game, Vaibhav made the most of his opportunity to meet MS Dhoni. Suryavanshi was just 5 days old when MS led India to a World Cup win in 2011 in Mumbai.
Now, the teenager had the opportunity to greet the Indian legend, and he rightfully sought his blessings. After an embrace, Suryavanshi proceeded to touch the CSK captain’s feet as a mark of respect.

Rajasthan Royals did not have the best of campaigns, ending the IPL 2025 season with just 4 wins. However, one of their big positives was the signing of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. A lot of eyebrows were raised when the Royals paid 1.2 crore for the 14-year-old. However, the left-hander has since defied those doubts with a show of brute hitting. In just 7 games, the teenage sensation has 252 runs, striking at 206.55. He’s hit 24 sixes in the 101 balls he’s faced.
He broke the record for the fastest century by an Indian, with a 35-ball effort against the Gujarat Titans. On Tuesday, he played a rather measured knock, scoring 57 off 33 balls with four boundaries and four sixes. He has the best strike rate of the season for any batter with more than 100 runs this season.
