Ο Aakash Chopra πιστεύει ότι ο Rochit Sharm, ο Virat Kochli και ο Ravindra Jaja μπορούν να παίξουν το τελευταίο τους γεγονός στο Mus στο Trophy Champions
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra reckons that the upcoming Champions Trophy will be the last ICC event for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. The trio retired from T20Is in 2024 following the T20 World Cup victory. With all three stars inching towards the end of their careers, Chopra feels that it is a “strong possibility” that CT 2025 could be their last big tournament.

End of road for Ro-Ko and Jadeja?
In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra pointed out that a lot could change before the 2027 World Cup and that it would be interesting to see if Indian cricket can survive without Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja.
“The 2027 World Cup is a bit too far. I feel, more so even the players feel, that this (CT 20255) could be our last event. There is a strong possibility (that it could be the last for Rohit, Kohli & Jadeja). The question is not if these 3 can play till 2027 WC. The question is can Indian cricket function without them. The question is not about if a player can play till this age. The question is always about how much longer are the services of a particular player needed,” Chopra said.

Further, Chopra said that if the selectors do get better alternatives for these seniors, then they shouldn’t think twice in moving in that direction.
Earlier, reports had stated that Rohit had been asked by the selectors to decide on his future after Champions Trophy. Some reports also claimed that the management were not worried about Kohli’s future in ODIs as he had no fitness issues.
Rohit & co. will depart for Dubai on February 15 where they will play all their CT 2025 matches. The Men in Blue will start their campaign by taking on Bangladesh on February 21.
