While Sai Sudharasan went on to score a century, Devdutt Padikkal sizzled with a 88-run knock. However, the departure of these two set batters triggered a collapse for India A. While Baba Indrajith departed after scoring just 6 runs, Test aspirants Ishan Kishan (32) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (17) failed to convert their starts into good knocks in the contest despite stitching together a decent partnership.

It wasn’t long before Australia A managed to bundle out India A, with tailenders Mukesh Kumar and Prasidh Krishna departing for ducks. Australia A got off to a flying start in their run-chase, with Marcus Harris (36) and Cameron Bancroft (16) getting off to a strong start following the dismissal of Sam Konstas. Mukesh Kumar, Prasidh Krishna and Manav Suthar bagged one wicket each to reduce Australia A down to 3 wickets. However, the hosts remain firmly in the driver’s seat in the contest and need just 86 runs to win the game, with Beau Webster and skipper Nathan McSweeney out in the middle.

India A pacer Mukesh Kumar unleashed his fury on the Australia A batting order on Day 2 of the unofficial Test as he single handedly decimated the hosts. The bowler bagged six-wickets in the 1st innings to bundle out AUS A for 195 runs. India had a nightmare start to the unofficial Test after being bowled out for just 107 runs.
